《窺 Snooping》AR擴增實境互動影音創作Interactive AR (Augmented Reality) audio-visual creation

「窺」 “Snooping" 

「太好了,終於將儀器設置好了」 研究與研究者啊,或說這個世界的好奇者。

追求著知識與更多對於這個世界的理解, 無所畏懼的探索著,或說⋯⋯令人懼怕的無所畏懼。 但對於未知,人類真的準備好了嗎? 即使我們知道我們尚未準備好,但⋯⋯ 「誰會在意呢?」 好奇心殺死那隻無知的貓。 人類終究會殺死自己。
“Great, the instruments are finally set up." Researchers and curious minds, or perhaps the inquisitive souls of this world. Pursuing knowledge and a deeper understanding of the world, fearlessly exploring, or should I say… fearlessly embracing fear. But are we really prepared for the unknown? Even though we know we’re not ready, but… “Who cares?" Curiosity killed the cat. Humanity will ultimately kill itself.

這個音樂與影像的作品透過AR實境呈現,創造出「窺」探另一個我們不理解的平行宇宙概念。 在四段作品中,皆放入了兒時常常聽的兒歌「小星星」當作貫穿全曲的動機,就好像人類回到了幼稚時期、有著媽媽的保護、可以大肆探索世界的時候。 但現在⋯⋯我們沒有所謂「媽媽」的保護了。
This music and visual work presents the concept of exploring another parallel universe that we do not understand through AR reality. In the four segments of the piece, the childhood nursery rhyme “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" is used as a motif throughout, as if humanity has returned to childhood, with the protection of a mother and the freedom to explore the world. But now… we no longer have the protection of a “mother."


在這幾首作品中,我在第一個看似還很正常的配樂中,只單一使用了兩架鋼琴作為旋律與聲音。 而第二首,從原本兩架鋼琴的基礎上再增加了空間效果器,並讓編曲上聽起來更詭異一些,也把小星星這首曲子轉變成小調,甚至在後半段呈現一直轉調的不穩定感。 進到第三部,基於第二部的鋼琴,我再將它音色的低頻率稍微壓掉一些,讓高頻聽起來更刺一些,也讓聲音聽起來更壓縮一些,並且我也把鋼琴的音律調整了一些,就像放在廢棄房屋中,好幾十年都沒有調音過的走音鋼琴。
In these compositions, the first one, seemingly normal, uses only two pianos as melody and sound. In the second piece, I added spatial effects to the two pianos, making the arrangement sound more eerie, and transformed “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" into a minor key, even introducing instability with continuous modulation in the latter half. Moving on to the third part, I slightly suppressed the low frequencies of the piano from the second part, making the higher frequencies sharper and compressing the sound more, as if the pianos were left untuned in an abandoned house for decades.


而到了最後一段,視覺上也變得非常詭異,因此我也使用了大量的自製合成器音色作為氣氛鋪墊或是旋律,也加上了許多音效,像是SOS的摩斯電碼。而到了這裡,已經完全沒有調性可言了,也正是如此 才能製造出非常混亂及詭異的氣氛。
In the final section, the visuals become extremely eerie, so I used a lot of custom synthesized sounds as atmospheric pads or melodies, along with various sound effects like Morse code SOS. Here, there is no sense of tonality left, and that’s how a very chaotic and eerie atmosphere is created.
