《Calling》

動畫影片出處為「北藝大MIT第一屆原創配樂大賽」。
第一次看到這個影片，就被《Calling》深深的孤獨與尋求認同感所吸引，腦海中立刻揚起音樂與旋律，因此想為它進行重新編曲配樂與聲音設計。
The animated film originates from the “1st Original Music Scoring Competition – MIT, Taipei National University of the Arts.”
The first time I watched it, I was deeply drawn to the profound sense of loneliness and the yearning for belonging expressed in Calling.
Melodies immediately began to form in my mind, and I felt compelled to reimagine the music—composing a new score and designing the sound to reflect its emotional depth.

《Calling》動畫作品中，透過主角使用的儀器，嘗試與外界進行通訊。象徵現在的我們都拼命地想找到與他人交流的方式，因為在這個世界上，彼此能夠完全理解對方似乎遙不可及。最終我們可能會在無人知曉中悄然消失，但在尋找自我的過程中找到安慰。
In the animated short Calling, the protagonist attempts to communicate with the outside world through a device—symbolizing our own desperate search for ways to connect with others.
In a world where true mutual understanding often feels out of reach, we may ultimately fade away unnoticed.
And yet, there is a quiet comfort to be found in the journey of searching for oneself.

「嘗試跟外界聯絡的主角，一如往常的站在高台上，使用自己製作的儀器製造聲音泡泡，但總不起作用。為了尋求解答，他坐上火車、前往其他地方碰碰運氣，卻逐漸懷疑自己的所作所為是否有意義，不慎將儀器摔壞，卻意外發現與別人溝通的新可能性。主角重新製作儀器，並再次嘗試與他人聯絡，雖然成功了，但僅維持短短數秒。不過一陣白色氣泡環繞，主角被自己的聲音帶到更遙遠、更適合他的地方了」
The protagonist, in his usual routine, stands atop a high platform and uses a self-made device to send out sound bubbles in an attempt to reach the outside world—but it never seems to work.
In search of answers, he boards a train and ventures elsewhere, hoping for a stroke of luck. Along the way, he begins to doubt the meaning of his efforts, and in a moment of frustration, accidentally breaks his device.
Yet through this accident, he unexpectedly discovers a new possibility for connection.
Motivated by this glimpse of hope, he rebuilds the device and tries once more to communicate with others. This time, it works—though only for a brief few seconds.
Surrounded by a swirl of white sound bubbles, the protagonist is carried away by his own voice, transported to a faraway place—one that feels more suited for him.

音樂則以襯托的角色訴說故事，創造合適的氛圍及呈現角色內心，帶動觀眾情緒。
The music plays a supporting role in telling the story—shaping the atmosphere, expressing the protagonist’s inner world, and guiding the audience’s emotions.
